Down to the Bone

There may be little or no warning of low bone mineral density. An estimated 1.5 million individuals suffer a fracture as a result of osteoporotic bones each year. In the graphic below we can see the normal deterioration of bone tissue after the age of 30.

This risk crosses all adult age groups and includes these and other factors that increase the risk of osteopenia and osteoporosis:

  • Low body weight

  • History of poor nutrition

  • Absence of normal menstrual periods

  • History of cancer

  • History of excessive alcohol use

  • History of tobacco use

  • History of excessive caffeine use

Osteoporosis, a disease of bone mineral loss has traditionally been treated with a lifestyle change and medication. Bi-phosphonates are the most widely prescribed medications used to stop the progression of bone mass degeneration. The side effects associated with bi-phosphonates however, may be significant and may include stomach upset, esophageal irritation, increased risk of and/or bone fractures and is can be daunting to think that a client has to take this medication for the rest of their life.

Delivering results that are measurable, bioDensity is non-invasive, non-pharmaceutical, and does not involve strenuous exercise. BioDensity's exercises are based on the principals of osteogenic loading, a brief and intense resistance exercise designed to stimulate your bones’ natural ability to increase its density.

Osteogenic loading "forces" are completely self generated and have been shown to help maintain or increase bone mass, promote strong bones and muscles and be a valuable addition to any user’s training and wellness program. Looking again the graphic we can observe how osteogenic loading with bioDensity can reverse the normal deterioration process.

Recent studies have demonstrated the combination of acceleration training (on Power Plates) with osteogenic loading (on bioDensity) has exponential benefits to users and far exceed the benefits of either training program on their own. Another study has revealed that individuals with blood sugar management challenges see improvements in their cellular function and test scores after training on bioDensity inspiring many more studies as a possible way to correct type 2 diabetes.
